I’ve been going through all the Xpresso System Presets trying to figure out which each one does.  However, I’m stuck at the “In Cylinder” Preset under the Advanced drop down.  Can somebody explain what this preset is for?  Thanks.

Hi Cameradan,

The XPresseo Preset is supposed to check if an object (Position) is inside the Cylinder (Boole) or how far the object is away from the Axis (Axis)

I have attached a little scene to illustrate this. I’m not clear why the cylinder has no position option for itself. Based on that the preset works only if the Cylinder is on Global Position 0;0;0 or the object is a child of the Cylinder and the position fed into the node is not the “Global Position”, just the (local) “Position”

I think it is a good idea to use the active check box and perhaps press the A key to refresh.

I have sorted the preset in the way I like to have it, to make it (perhaps) more readable. If you compare the XPool list, I have also sorted the hierarchy of the nodes, perhaps not needed but it is cleaner this way. The XPresso Tag is set to Camera dependent to allow faster refresh.

The two objects connected to it, are used as well to indicate the state of them, via Port>Name.

All the best
