Texture not showing in Viewport

Hello,

I’ve just upgraded to R15 and the texture on my character isn’t showing in the viewport, though it does on the render.

I am using multiple materials on a mesh, each one with its own UV tag.

I am doing this because I’ll be toggling between a library of eye shapes that fall over the main texture with alpha channel.

Hope you can help me out,

Emiliano

PS. I tried to attach some pics but an error keeps showing up here in the forum.

Hi Emiliano,

Here is a scene file, done in R14 and checked in R15. Is that exactly reproducing the effect that you got?

If yes: Please check this wit the support.

Few years ago I would have said “Stacked Materials” is off, but that option is not a given any longer.
I forced R15 into “Software Mode” and got the same result. As any search gave me no result, please use the Support.

Dear Dr. Sassi,

As always you were right on the spot. The file you posted is exactly the same as is happening to my project: Texture showing on R14 and not on R15. I will send it to support and keep you posted on the development.

Thanks again for your guidance, I’m very glad you liked my work.

Best,

Emiliano

Hey Emiliano,

Perfect! Well, perfect in a sense that it is reproducible. As I think it is maybe a CPU/Open GL thingy. Anyway, it is annoying for the set up, but it renders fine here.

Thanks for providing the link in the PM, even we didn’t need it now. I would love to “hear” what the answer is, as I think some other artists might wonder as well what happens.

I hope this is soon forgotten and the work can continue with no obstacles.

Have a great evening.
