Hello! i was playing around with the new simulation system, in particular the new rope solver is not recognised at all by align tags and xpresso tags.

as you can see in the left side of the video, align tag works fine to attach a sphere to the rope (And xpresso works too).

how can i attach things to the spline with the new solver? thx!

hi dr sassi! a was about to write that i found a workaround with the cloner in object mode. thanks a lot for the scene file though appreciate it.

anyway i think we shuld be able to access the new solver info with xpresso tags. xpresso opens up a lot of possibilities.

I have asked for XPresso and the new Simulation approach. Yes, I’m with you on that. I think without it is just less integrated into Cinema 4D.

There are some options, but I have found them to be less attractive so far:

A direct read of the data would be nicer. The examples above are all “second-hand” data.
