Hey, seems like it should be obvious but I can’t seem to find out how I’m supposed to hide/unhide selected objects with the keyboard (without fiddling with those tiny traffic lights)?

You could use the Layer Browser instead of the Traffic dots.

Perhaps check out the Solo options.
