can’t move keyframes from one attribute to another

I have a series of values that I’ve imported as keyframes from an ASCII file. I’d like to use them to drive a cloner offset, but I can’t figure out how: they won’t let me drag or paste them over, and I don’t see any option to set driver/driven or bring them into Xpresso. Any idea how I’d accomplish this?

Hi noaha64975596,

If you have a single Track with Keyframes in your Time Line, the XPresso> Track Node can read out the values of a Track if provided with a Time.
Example
https://www.dropbox.com/s/6eisus3rmlkr2dd/CV3_S26_drs_22_XPtt_01.c4d.zip?dl=0
https://help.maxon.net/c4d/s26/en-us/Default.htm#html/GVTRACK.html?TocPath=Menu|||Track Operator|_____0

Typically you drag the object that has the keyframes into the XPresso Editor. This creates a node, and you can access this.

If you like to copy and paste values, a matching Track must be available to paste them in.

Using the “Set Driver, Set Driven” function could be done by setting up User Data to be “driven”.

If nothing works: Can you share the file zipped Below 4MB? If the Mime type creates trouble, I can send an upload link.

All the best

Thanks for the fast response. I’m still have difficulty: the keyframes from the ASCII file come in as a new attribute which isn’t recognized by Xpresso or Set Driver/ Driven. I have an example file, but I’m having trouble uploading it- could you send me an upload link?

Thanks for the file, noaha64975596

Please have a look here:

I have set the track “0” to step. The XPresso is feeding the information to the Cloner> Offset.
