I’m having trouble aligning the joints. Specifically, when I hold down CONTROL and rotate a joint to align it it creates a duplicate of the entire hierarchy and rotates the entire hierarchy. I’m in Model Mode and have the rotate tool selected. I don’t know what else to do. I’ve included a screen shot for reference

I believe in R13 the Ctrl key was changed to duplicate objects.
It no longer adjust the adjust the axis of the object.
Instead of the CTRL key you will want to use the “L” shortcut.
Tapping “L” will switch you to axis mode, or you can take advantage of sticky keys and hold “L”

Thanks Patrick, that’s very helpful. There were a couple videos I watched that all said to use the control key so I thought I was loosing my mind.

Yeah, it is an unfortunate side effect of changing interfaces and key commands :/
While 99.99% of a tutorial is still valid, small things like this can get confusing.
