Hi

I am trying to create a word in the style of the ‘A’ as seen in the image and have created something similar using mograph and the shader effector. I have used cubes in the mograph and as you can see, this gives a jagged edge when seen in close up. Is there a better way to create a smoother effect similar to the ‘A’ reference? I’ve tried displacement and that produces very crude results. Maybe splines?

Hi davidstormcg,

Please have a look at the linked files below:
https://www.amazon.com/clouddrive/share/Z1QVt2hUvolNSTLn1TzIqcnNGtGMVCEXNWji3VHjZfB

Is that something that would work for you?

Alternatively, you could also use a Tracer for your set up and use “Connect All Objects”. This would require to have the start and end “cubes” lower, as the connection creates a single spline.

All the best

Hi

That’s absolutely perfect. I have added the spline that was on the surface deformer to a sweep so that the lines have 3 dimensional shape.

Perfect, many thanks.

You’re very welcome, davidstormcg, thanks for the reply!

The splines can be converted via “Current State To Object”, if they have their final shape, perhaps it will speed up the redraw.

My best wishes for your project.
