I can not get any Xpresso to work in R21, I have dozens of objects we’ve created with Xpresso that no longer work. I’ve even created basic Xpresso that does nothing. Am I missing something?

What can I say without having anything to work with?

Please attach a simple example here in the forum (zipped), or use a DropBox, Amazon, Google, Adobe, Apple as cloud service. I can create an upload link if the simple file is too large for the forum.

I realized I had size connected to position, not that it changes anything, still broke.

When you had posted initially, there was no screenshot linked to it.

Looking at the screenshot doesn’t allow me to explore what is going on. Always a scene file. Thanks.

I work with scene files, screenshots can’t tell me what else is set up, perhaps the Xpresso is on a Layer, and the scripting is off, etc. So please don’t reply in that way, thanks, I try to help you here.

Thanks for the file. Yes, the ports do not supply any information. However, if I copy the setup and paste it in a new project file, it works.

P.S.: I checked the files in R20, they are not working here in R20 either.

So I’m not sure what would be causing this then, I’ve only been using r21 for six hours now. I did not bring over any preference files or plug-ins from r20. I’ve created a new.C4D file based on the preferences I use but other than that everything is stock.

It is strange and not what I would like that you have to experience at all.

Not really in stock, as I got missing plugin alerts.

Since it doesn’t work, we have to find a way to make it work. One way would be to check with the support.

Is the “copy and paste” into a new file working? (Not that this should be the way to do it, but to gain more information).

Since it didn’t work here in even R20, I tested it in other versions as well, including even educational. Inside of the cube.c4d I tried to set up new Xpresso and UserData with no success. Opening a new file allowed me to do so. Perhaps delete the Preferences as well the new.c4d file. Which is a common suggestion and I typically hesitate to mention it, as this should be explored where it belongs:
