Dynamic Spheres Push Apart

Hello once again smile

Thanks for the help thus far.

So I am having some cloner spheres being Attracted by the sphere on a Spherical Field. I am trying to separate them from each other but no matter how far I push the values on push apart and the other forces they stay kinda glued together in some cases. What do I do wrong?

I am attaching a video of my viewport in Dropbox, on the right you will see the values I use.

Okay so I changed a lot of stuff I think its fixed now, basically I needed smaller Rotation values since it interfered with my other Forces a lot.

Plus I drastically changed Turbulence and Push Apart to make it more organic, also tweaked Attractor Strength and Rotation Mass in order to avoid static noise.

Lastly some other minimal changes.

I am attaching another Dropbox link with the result.

Hi Nikos,

Do I understand that you got what you need?

Perhaps the Dynamic Tag> Attribute Manager> Force> Angular Dampening.

If not, please attach the scene file.

Here is scene file:

P.S.: I thought with the new Field options, and since we do this attracted spheres since roughly a decade by now, it was time to look again into it.

The Fields are certainly a great option to get things moving around.

Hi, Sorry… I am in-between.

Thanks for the scene files.

Post 2 file, attractor sphere are just moving.
Post 3 file, attractor sphere are rotating and moving. whats setting it is…? I compared all the tags and object setting, no difference found.

Thanks.
Imran.

Hi Imran,

So, do I get this right, the Spheres were supposed to not move at all?

All the best

No, its fine… this is the way.
In your post 2, its not moving. I just asked, what setting it was (post 3) to move that sphere also…?

Thanks.

Imran

The center sphere can be just animated with its own rotation parameters. Since the Friction is set high, the rotation will cause centrifugal forces. So the Attractor power needs to be higher.

The little spheres are driven by the Force field. Which is built with the Volume and then the Field Force.

Does this answer your question?

Cheers

yes it is. Collider body friction is high, which I did not checked. Thanks.

and dynamic small spheres moving speed control by..?

thanks.

Imran,

The little spheres are driven by the Force Field. Which is built with the Volume and then the Field Force.

File CV2_r21_drs_19_DYan_12.c4d
Volume, Sphere [normal]+Random [cross], Volume set to Force.
This goes into the
Force Field Object

You’re welcome, Imran.

Have an eye on the colorful confetti like lines. Each is a little force field.

In the Force Field>Attribute Manager>Object> Velocity Type: Add to Velocity
Below: Strength.

This means each of these little force field lines puts some energy into the velocity. With that, the sphere moves into the next mini force field that provides a different direction, and so on.

Cheers

Imran, it might take a few trial and errors, but you will quickly get used to it, and then the fun starts.

Perhaps try this first. Have a look into the Random Field> Field> Animation Speed

Enjoy
