Hi Remo_G,
Please try the following:
Load your footage (as well the lens Profile), and select the Motion Tracker icon in the Object Manager, then click on the lock in the Attribute Manger, to keep the Motion Tracker in the Attribute Manager.
Alternative: Try to create a Background object from within the Motion Tracker.
Now, go back to the Object Manager, select Motion tracker and its child, the camera, you should be able to see the movie now. (I checked it a few minutes ago, with several DJI h.265 footage, on Mac.High Sierra)
Note that Adobe plays h.265 since longer from its own de-coder, at least in my experience and in my set up. I can’t tell more.
If all of that is not working, please convert for now for tracking and get in contact with the Support.
To my knowledge the h.265 is not part of the new media core. I made my input (wish) long ago about that. So, more I can’t do.
What you can do is to ask the Support. The more people go that route or suggest to take care of that, the better.

Please state clearly, if you need 8bit.ch or 10 bit.ch (per channel, and if you prefer SDR or “HDR”, thank you.
All the best
