Hi Marco,

Normally the Cloner Object creates a complete “copy” first and then clones this. There are some options in the Dynamic/Simulation that survive this preparation, like Springs.

I have attached a scene file where I hope that this brings you closer to the target of your project. It is build out of Hair. The Thickness of Hair adjusts the object “scale”, and check the Generate>Instances>Keep Textures if you like.

For more details about Hair, please check out Patrick’s great series about.

All the best

Sassi

Marco, I think you have checked Instructor>Patrick Goski and Utilizes>Hair (Search) which results in three series. If you like to go along completely, the most sense to me would make 1.Object, 2.Menu and 3.Material.

Additionally—and mostly ignored is the XPresso part of it, just a few nodes, but quite powerful stuff, if you take the name of the module HAIR not seriously, in other words—if you take this more like a MoGraph-Dynamic-Specialty package.

It is a wonderful and great part of C4D.

Enjoy :o)
