Making Cloner Object a Child of Subdivision Surface breaks Shader Switch Applied to Cloner Object

Making the cloner object a child of various effectors/objects also breaks the shader switch node as well. Does anyone have a workaround or different way of doing this to avoid this?

Hi gonza045

Place the Subdivision Surface object above the clone, not above the Cloner. In this way, the clone is subdivided once; bit if it sits above the Cloner, the complete result will be generated newly with new a new multiplied mesh (way more calculations) while also causing the trouble you mentioned.

However, I would suggest not using the SDS and perhaps going with the RS Object Tag> Geometry.
