There are certainly many combinations possible, like using the Shader Effector to get the colors and a texture to get the white icon. It all depends on what is needed down the road for animation or such.

Here I would use the
• Boole • Current State To Object • Optimize • Connect and Delete • Fracture Object> Object> Mode> Explode and Connect.

With more complex shapes, the Volume Builder/Mesher might be the way to go.
