Render que issues

For some reason, when I load up a render queue, I get errors on the path to some images (which were GreyScale gorilla redshift textures), I re-link them up trying both in the native space, as well as trying to link to a copy of them in the local project folder. Either way, after I link them up and hit render, they come up missing again. Here is the odd thing, if I render normally, without the que, it works fine.
I’m failry new to C4d, so it may be loser user…but just not sure what it could be?

Hi psussi,

Many questions could be asked, I think it is better to point a tutorial here.

Would you mind to have a look here:
https://www.cineversity.com/vidplaylist/cinema_4d_team_render/cinema_4d_team_render_part_08

If, even after “Save Project with Assets…” problems show up, and the Windows> Project Asset Inspector… show no issues, this might be a support question.

Since this could be based on a Network problem:

Fingers crossed, this is quickly fixed.

All the best

Thank you. This was a Takes render, does the same thing apply?

Psussi,

Takes are not a limitation to Team Render.

Sorry for the delay in answering, I just had set up Big Sur/beta on my other Mac, and that broke the network here (based on 3rd party hardware), so I can’t test it right now (as mentioned, I try not to answer from memory)

Anyway, if that would be the case, then the Team Render should work with the Main Setting in the takes.

Please check with the support, it seems to be a technical issue, and I’m not supposed to do that here.

All the best

Hi psussi,

So, after a web-out, keeping an eye on the “close by fire”, and fixing the network, following the 3D Motionshow of course (!), here is my next question:

If you have your project open and save it with Assets, what is ending up in your Project folder/tex-folder?

One more question, what is the Main Menu> Window> Project Asset Inspector tells you? (It shows only one Take at the time! So click through the Takes while this inspector is open.)

My set up, R23.008 both Mac, Only the Render Client is checked for rendering.
I tested it with absolute paths, all fine.

One Mac 10.13 the other one Mac 11.0 beta

Then I saved it with Assets while being in Take 1 (not Main), and it didn’t place the Image of Main into the tex folder. It is easily fixable, and I was alerted, as well as shown in the Asset Inspector. So, after these problems are fixed, and the rendering causes anyway questions, that is a support theme.

Fingers crossed, that is quickly fixed.

Cheers

Hi psussi,

I checked the Teamrender with a mini set up, whereby only the external Mac was active as a render machine.
Please ignore the images, they were the first two that showed up while setting up the scene.

You see a screen capture of both machines.

All fine here.
