Hi paul.mara4d,
Beautiful work. “Als Themen für seine Projekte bevorzugt Marc die Natur, Bewusstsein und Spiritualität, da diese ihn persönlich am meisten erfüllen: „Denn Kunst ist doch irgendwie auch immer Therapie für den Künstler selbst.“ *
Exactly my point, so it is nice to see work in Cinema 4D on that level. If one is stuck in his/her ego, what content can you provide as an artist?
Sadly the DP article doesn’t mention anything more than the rendered lights used in the final rendering. The scene set up doesn’t give a lot of clues either. Yes, I wish I could have been at FMX, it pains me always to not be able to join.
As I mentioned above, I was looking for a more procedural approach. There is, of course, a big “but”. I never have seen those light in reality. So I have to trust the images I researched yesterday to not get fooled by my memory. Hence my “floating” cloud as an addition in this file. I saw a lot of different appearances of this. In many colors.
Given that some were shot with a wide lens others more from a distance and compressing the results, it is quite a large field of “expressions”. (Having shot star-fields, I know how much one can pull from nearly invisible a lot of information. Or even shoot parts of the invisible spectrum, and place colors there. So, I am always cautious about taking images as reference, the reality is often different.
To know the real thing means, first-hand information. To simulate something, excellent first-hand knowledge is needed.
To get not lost in a lengthy discussion, my question is, what is your target here? What aesthetic is wanted?
Cheers
*Marc prefers nature, consciousness, and spirituality as subjects for his projects since these fulfill him personally the most: “Art is somehow therapy for the artist himself.”
