Change the Frame Number Sequence Independent of the Render Range?

Hi,

Is there a way to change the frame number sequence that is not the same with the render range?
For instance, I set the PNG sequence with a name of “scene_7022” and rendered it with a 0-10 frame range.

The result is
scene_7022_0000
scene_7022_0001
scene_7022_0002

and so forth.

I want the result to be like
scene_7022
scene_7023
scene_7024

and so forth.

Is this possible?

Regards,
Ben

Hi Ben,

Natively, no way is given as one-click/button option to this specific task:
https://help.maxon.net/us/index.html#54506

I would even say that if the file name was specified as 7022, then that is seen as ASCII code and not a number. I might be wrong here, I can’t find any data on this.

I tried to rename the camera with an Xpresso set up, but no luck, using then the camera name token.

Renaming files, based on specific naming conventions, could be done with apps that do that quickly. Apple Script, GraphicConverter, etc. there are certainly more options than not. So, you might have to do it in “post”.

All the best

Hi Dr. Sassi,

No worries. Thanks for the confirmation.
Yes, I guess it can be done outside/post C4D.

Hi Ben,

Perhaps ask in the Cineversity Toolbox Support Forum.
Going by the extension Rick had written a while back, there is perhaps something more possible.

I know to have an extra step can be, even if done quickly, quite annoying close to deadlines.

Cheers
