Hello

I’m having a problem with the timeline, where I’d like to get it to switch between a view where I see all the animated elements in my OM, and then switch to only seeing the ones I select in the OM.
If I try to use “Link TL view to OM” I don’t seem to get that, but mostly, if I try, for example, to drag and drop an object from OM to TL, I can never figure out how to go back to seeing all the objects in the OM (animated or not)....

Thanks for any direction on how to manage these views.

Alex

Hi Alex,

Two things need to be explored:

TL> Edit> Automatic Mode
TL> Edit> Link> …

In detail:

Here is a screen capture, showing the idea to use two Timelines, even in one Tab based window.

As an alternative, you could set up shortcuts for the setting you like to have
Main Menu> Customization> Customize Commands

One option could also be, if more than one setting needs to be changed each time, to write a little script:

I hope one or the other option will fit.

All the best

Thanks Sassi
That’s super helpful!  I realized I had “Show Animated” which was filtering a lot of stuff out.
Gonna spend more times with the docs and your screen recording of the Python script is perfect.

Thanks!!

You’re very welcome, Alex; thanks for the feedback.

Yes, often, the manual is just the perfect source, and here the text is pretty short for each option.

Cheers
