Hi,

- With sphere cube is broken but I don’t need all broken… only the sphere area, where the sphere hits and other stay same…?

- Spline is not a dynamic object, how to break with spline…?
1) Break only spline area
2) Full spline, including inside.

Thanks.

Hi Imran,

Here is your file back.
https://www.amazon.com/clouddrive/share/4YyZrJLjV9h5SsHeEdP0QKTXBGdOxlESAkyI1yt9cvR

Please note that the Glued-Frame, in this case, has its “point” in the middle of the otherwise fractured area. This requires a very specific falloff to select the chunks of the Voronoi Fracture, but not the frame, to inform the Dynamic correctly.

The Sphere can be used as a field, while the Voronoi Dynamics is off. While the Sphere-Object is defining the fragments needed, being inside of the Voronoi Fracture-Object, you can store this in the Freeze object, then switch off the Sphere-Object as Field and back to Dynamics. Since this seems rather cumbersome, I used a Spherical Field here.
If the Sphere-Object stays active as Field to define the chunks, the interaction will change the chunks constantly. Nothing that will work.

All the best

Thanks Dr. Sassi.

- I tried one with sphere but when sphere collision with floor, all fells, how can I hold non breaking floor.
-spline break, showing break… but when moving spline up and down… its not breaking…!

If you can make screen capture video… that will be much helpful.

Thanks.

Hi Imran,

Here is the screen capture.
https://www.amazon.com/clouddrive/share/bW3nj5TtLLLBnPAHhm1Mz2qpJlD65hmt777KkMZ8Z3h

Please note that you can select those points as well manually, to define which part is dynamically, and which one stays static. I used Fields here but manually is often more precise.

The MoGraph selection tells the Dynamic Tag what will be in the dynamic solution.

If you can’t solve your problem, please share the scene file.

Let me know if there is any other question, I’m happy to look into it.

Enjoy your Sunday!

Hi Imran,

I guess you expect that the break will be based along the Spline path as if you would use the Spline with the Knife Tool?

The Voronoi Fracture object uses the vertices/points of the Spline (or creates its own vertices/points along the Spline:

Distribution
Points will be produced as follows:
Even: At a uniform distance apart
Step: Dependent on the Spline’s Intermediate Points setting
Count: At random locations
Vertices: On the Spline’s base points

Whatever the points are, the Voronoi Fracture object takes two points and precisely in the middle distance of these points, cuts the object. Since there are more points, more often than now, the cell structure is created.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voronoi_diagram

With this, the cuts are more likely to be 90º to a spline than along, roughly said.

Let me know if I got your idea about it wrong.

All the best
