The idea usually is to have a Cloner>Clones> Blend between at least two objects. Resulting in only one clone! But where this clone is later placed will determine the Modify Clone strength. Please have a look in the Mapped curve (Plain Effector> Falloff). A definite S curve delivers more up and down wings than a straight curve (more average positions then).
The Parent Cloner take this Results and multiplies it, while the single Clone will sit in a different falloff noise, the wings will be rotated differently. Works only with Instances (v. Render or Multi), if you need something else, please advice.
