Hi,

I’m attempting to do a very basic lip sync (3 words) with a character previously built in Cinema. Think AFLAC.  I’m somewhat of a lower level user, however, I can’t find any information online on how to tackle this.  There’s been a real dearth of information about lip sync online.  Can anyone offer any direction or possibly point me to a tutorial (paid or otherwise).

thank you,
tom dempsey

If you can share some more information, I’m happy to look into it.

Thank you Dr. Sassi,

I will attempt the tutorial first and circle back with you if I run into trouble.  I am hoping the basics are the same since this was created in 2007.

best wishes,
tom dempsey

You’re very welcome, Tom Dempsey.

The Morph Tag is now called PoseMorph and had a few improvements. To understand the principles of lipsync/talking, that has certainly not changed.

For three words, you could take a video while saying these three words. Then analyses the video clip for the needed “key” poses of the lips. This will support you to create just those and animate.

In the past others have had asked about just a quick and dirty method. This would be the Sound Effector and using only the loudness to have a “hand-puppet” sync as a result.

All the best

P.S.: Since you mentioned your skill-level, I hesitated to suggest this, but on the other hand, it is undoubtedly a great tool to know.
Please have a look here, but I have no idea how it currently works with R21

Hi,

Are there any plans to update the CV-AR plugin with the new iPhone 11?

Thanks,
Matthew

Hi Mathew,

Even that would be a question for the Tool-Box-Forum, I would suggest to place it here: (As you have done already)
