Hi,

Nice to see you back again and on time….!

I did UV unwrap and applied texture, and scales to 25%. In scaling, my textures layer is as it is small (marked in green) but uv polygon size increased. Is there a way to enlarge the texture size to fit it…?

Thanks.
Imran

Hi Imran,

Texture space for UV is normalized. Always 0-1, in both directions. If you set the scale to 25%, the texture UV ratio will be 1-4 (25% to 100%)

To set the parameter to 25% would typically result in the use of Tile. This requires a tile-able texture, to show no seams. Otherwise:

Set the parameter from 25% to 100%.

Please let me know if I miss something. Please with a project-file. I’m happy to have a look into it.

Cheers

If assume like photoshop, Is there way to enlarge canvas size (green square)...?
If I see my layers, background is locked, not converted to layer.

Thanks.

Hi Imran,

Set in the Texture Tag the Length U and the Length V to a different % value. That will change the size of the UV mesh.

Here is a little one minute sketch:
https://www.amazon.com/clouddrive/share/rHn9oIBkYYokLGhdBc82vW8U9YssD9Fki3wf9hluxdk

The Texture is normalized. As mentioned, it will be in the size of 0-1 for each axis. Otherwise, you could not exchange a texture with a different resolution without losing the position on the surface. This space is always 0-1 for U and 0-1 for V. Normalized.

If you like to have the UV mesh scaled, use the Length U and V parameter in the Object Manager> Texture Tag>> Attribute Manager> Texture Tag> Length U and Length V.

You could send me a Dropbox link to my Private Message box, so I can see what you have. Save it with assets!

Cheers
