I’m currently on Tutorial #15 titled ‘Getting Started with Cinema 4D, Part 15: Introduction to HDRI’s’ and I don’t see ‘prime’ or ‘HDRI’s’ in my Content Browser. I have attached a screenshot to help get a better sense of this issue and I do look forward to hearing from you in due course!

Hi GEORGE ANDREW FORSYTH,

Please go to the Main Menu> Help>  Check for Updates … .

Can you see any entries for Content Libraries Prime?

Your screenshot wasn’t available, I guess it was too large, but currently, that wouldn’t matter, as the attachment system has a problem. Sorry for all that trouble.

Let me know if loading the Prime content fixed the problem.

Cheers

You’re very welcome, James L. Heim.

I assume that you got what you wanted.

If there is anything else, please let me know.

Enjoy.

Hi monparsons,

Sorry about that, it should be noted in the tutorial text that this has been changed.

The Prime content was a smaller package based on the old categories of Prime, Broadcast, Visualize, Studio, etc.

You can download all, as there are more HDRIs available. (After download). With the magnifying glass, you can get all at once: see image below. Try also the exr suffix. Typically it indicates better quality, if the content was never limited before that, like being stored as radiance.

However, if you are looking for HDR images and nothing else, please have a look here:
https://www.cineversity.com/vidplaylist/cineversity_resources/hdri_preset_packs_download_and_install

Please note that the radiance (dot-hdr) format, is suitable for illumination, but has a horrible color precision, so it should not be used in high-end work. For exploring the techniques, they are just fine.
(Link below, in my signature) I have a more extended series about HDR and how to create those in production-level quality.

All the best
