Find out which object a keyframe belongs to in the timeline

Hello,

I have a bunch of objects selected in my timeline (automatic mode) and can see all of the animation curves for their parameters.
When I select one of the keyframes in the timeline, how can I find out which object it belongs to?

Thanks!
Nick

Hi Nick,

To my knowledge, there is no direct option to get this information. However, while the keys are selected, click on the Dope-Sheet icon and there you can see the keys sorted to the objects. Then, after you got your information, you can go back to the F-Curve.

In some cases this works only when CTRL is hold down, while clicking the icons, according to the manual. I never needed this, so I share it to provide a more complete tip.

Tip: Use the Tab Key to toggle between the two modes. If however a motion clip is created, this will be a triple tab for a round trip. Works as long as the Timeline window is active (Not to confuse with being visible)

I hope that helps.

All the best
