set default “modify clone” value?

Hello,

I tend to experiment a lot with setups utilising the modify clone feature.
When blend mode is enabled, by default, the clones blend through the hierarchy in the cloner based on their index.
Is there a way to have the blend value for all the clones be set to 0 by default?
If I want to use an effector to modify the clones, the effect is additively mixed with the default index based blend.

My current workflow is to use a plain effector to set all the values to 0, before making any other effectors.
Is this the most efficient solution?

Thanks,
Nick

Hi Nick,

The set up needs one more step to work in that way.

First, you set up your blend Cloner with the effect you are after. BUT: you produce only one clone at all! This is the key to make it work. This Cloner holds of course the Modify Cloner value, based on the effector[s].

This set-up goes then into the next Cloner [parent], which is ONLY responsible for the distribution. (Yes you can use effectors here, but nothing that has to do with the Modify/Blend effect.)
