can spring connected objects ignore collisions with eachother?

I’ve been experimenting with dynamics a lot recently and I noticed that while the dynamics connector has the checkbox to Ignore Collisions between objects A and B, the spring connector doesn’t have this option.
I was also wondering if there is generally a way to set a dynamics object to selectively ignore collisions with specific objects?

Hi NNenov,

I have three examples:
https://www.amazon.com/clouddrive/share/KNr8dHJaeF8i4vKvTGPA5z3dNJRJernpmt2yANzSX1m?ref_=cd_ph_share_link_copy

The first one _01 will just bounce at each other.

The second one _02 is the same but here the sphere do not recognize each other. I just cached each by itself, while the other one was not active, active in dynamic or the sphere (green arrow vs red X).

The third file explores a set up with Clones. Here I use the MoGraph selection to use the “Cloner: Sort/Effector:Modify Clones” set up. In this way I can cache as in file _02

There is no management tool for this or any other way I can think of, but of course I keep it in mind and when I have a better idea, I will post it here.

Normally there is a selection filed in the Dynamic tag, but this shows only while used with a Cloner for example. I need to explore perhaps other set ups. But the examples hopefully work as answer for now.

All the best
