Hello

I’m trying to slow down a cloth sim, to create a slow motion effect.  I changed the project frame rate, the dynamics time scale to 1% and increased the Steps per Frame to 10, but it still seems like the Cloth is moving at the same speed.
Is there any reason why cloth wouldn’t change speeds?  Do I need to do this in post?

Thanks!

Hi Alex,

You might explore the Object Manger> Tags> Character Tags> Point Cache.

You just cache the Polygon object in it and then go to:

Cache Tag: Attribute Manager> Tag>Scale, and apply a parameter to your liking.
Note that the Frame numbers must be sufficient

Yup!  Makes sense…The only annoyance is that I can’t keep working with the cloth as I do that, I have to deactivate it each time, but definitely a better solution that using Twixtor in AE!

Thanks Sassi!

You’re welcome, Alex.

Alternatives would be based on changing Gravity, Drag, Wind Resistance, etc.
