Hi Chad,

Typical questions that comes to mind: From the start with R17 or after a specific update; Are you on the newest update? I guess the support has perhaps some other ideas!

Nothing comes up when I check the “usual suspects” ;o)

If you have a scene where it does this, please without anything else in the scene send it to the support, or share it here for a quick inspection ;o)

Just a wild guess, if you have a scene with this behavior, is the MoGraph cache helping here?

Sorry, that I couldn’t help more.

All the best

Cache is not helping and it happens a lot…I think its just mograph text…that is usually what i use rather than splines…Once I reset to left and back to middle its usually good…its just a pain because I notice it after I spend the time to render out an animation.  I have had this happening since R16 I believe.

Thanks for the additional information.

Since I have no scene file here, I can only suggest to get in contact with the support:

(Please note that the URL has changed since a week.)

Thanks Dr. Sassi…maybe R18 will fix it…it is not really one particular scene file…it just randomly happens..hoping its gong in R18!  Thanks again.

Hi Chad,

Let’s hope it works out that way for you.

Perhaps this helps for the time being. It is a “hard wired” middle align set up. You can store the XPresso Tag in the :
Object Manager>File>Save Tag Preset…
(And place it to any MoText with the “Load…” option)

No need to set the Middle when this is active.

All the best
