I created a small file to show that a rotating device creates centrifugal force enough to lift a weight. I set up a hinged shaft with a weight at the bottom using the hinge connector. For the most part it works, but the instant the animation timeline starts, the shaft moves into a totally different position about halfway up the shaft (I assume it is to the center of mass). How do I fix this so that the hinge is at the end of the shaft?

Hi Vrauckis,

Set in the two Dynamic Tags the Collision>Shape> to Static Mesh for the “Base” and to Moving Mesh for the “Swing Weight”.

Do this on frame zero, and check if it works.

Then it should work already, but I would use the Point Selection and name them 1 and 2 (or what ever differentiates them) to avoid trouble ;o)

If you need to limit the movement, check the axis.
