Trying to use a Vertex map in a Texture’s Alpha Channel so I can apply a second texture over a first.

The idea works fine but the Vertex/Alpha texture seems to disable the phong tag and I get a jagged edges on my object.

If I remove the Vertex my object is smooth as silk.

going to try body paint and paint in the alpha.  I thought the Vertex would be easy.

I’ve attached a test file if anyone is interested.

Hi TAK,

In the “Mat” material (the red one) go to the Displacement channel and check on Round Geometry. Your object will look fine again.

All the best
