I am trying to open content browser for the first time in c4D 14 and it is freezing the program any thoughts?

Just got a new machine and didnt play much with c14 on other machine…Now im only using 14 on my newly installed on new machine…

BTW: Perhaps trashing the Preference would be my first “shot in the blue”.

How do I find the preferences file?

Ben, Go to Edit>Preferences. In the moment the Preferences panel is open, have look to the lower left part, there is a button called “Open Preferences Folder…”
There is also the path of it (right sided)

In this folder is a folder called “prefs”, inside of it is file “CINEMA 4D.prf”

Restart after placing this file out of reach (I typically zip it and store the zip on an USB-drive and trash the prefs), deleting might be an option as well, but if the “trashing” isn’t helping, you might want to replace the new version with your setting.

Again, this is all Support work, but somehow I think telling where the prefs are is OK. :o)
