How to generate lines to connect Cloner instances to center point of Cloner?

I have a Cloner object generating spheres with the Object Mode using an oval (see attached screenshot). What is the best way for me to create connectors between the center sphere and each sphere instance in the cloner? (I need to be able to change the Cloner Object Oval Shape and still have the lines stay connected to the center point).
Any advice?

Hi tonejac,

How do you need to change that oval?

My suggestion would be to use a Disc-Object in the first place and go from there.

I have attached an example, perhaps it is easier to get closer to your target with an scene file.

If only “Spheres and Cylinders” are needed, perhaps the Atom-Array set up is the way to go then.

All the best

Thanks. This was helpful. I ended up mimicking the atom array with 2 cloners: one for the spheres, the second one for the connectors. With the connector lines cloner I used a disc with just the internal edges selection state. That way I have more control over the individual elements.

Thanks for the feedback, Tonejac.

I’m glad the file was helpful.

Good Luck with the project
