View Shortcut - Keyboard
A Shortcut (aka Keyboard Shortcut) is a handly little way to get to a tool very quickly, via a simple keystroke or keyboard combination, instead of having to hunt through menus and the like. You will find, as you become familiar with your application and you develop a preference for tools, you will be using shortcuts more and more. At some point, you will rarely use the menus and palettes at all, as using the shortcuts will become second nature to you. Don’t rush this, let it happen at its own pace (and it’s different for everyone). Do experiment a bit, and look for shortcuts in the tools; almost every tool has one. If you don’t like the “factory” shortcuts, or you want to match shortcuts from another application, you can use the Customization options to do that for you.
