View Pose

A pose refers to the positioning of a character or subject within a given frame, or single image.  Poses are essential in character animation, and often you will see the term “pose to pose animation” in use.  Indeed, this refers to animating on a “pose to pose” basis, also known as “straight through animation”.  Posing a character to make the intent of the charater “read” is very important, and a skill to be earned through practice.
