View Loft NURBs
Loft NURBs create a surface between curves which are used to create the loft. Analogous to real world processes, a loft describes a 3D shape with a series of curves, much like cross sections in a blueprint describes the overall shape of the drawing subject. In fact, the only real difference between a cross section and the curves you can use to create a loft using Loft NURBs, is that the curves to be lofted do not need to be flat.
