View Keyframe or Key
A keyframe is any defined point, effect, pose or so on that has been specifically created by an animator. It is a general term, and thus applies to many different animation options, but suffice it to say that a keyframe is the result of an animator making something happen at a specific location in space, time, or a specific frame, and telling the program to “record” that event or state. When several keyframes are strung together, then program can then “interpolate” between each one using a method that the animator chooses. Depending upon the interpolation method, the results can vary drastically.
