In order to make your refractive objects interact properly, so that the "Nested Dielectric" principle applies correctly, you need to make sure your models overlap by a very small amount where the two mediums touch.
In this video I will demonstrate what happens if they don't, and then I will show you how to model a simple wineglass filled with wine, with an ice cube in the wine, and some bubbles. In the process, we will apply all the techniques discussed in this series.
I will also explain how Ray "Trace Depth" can hugely affect render quality.
