I downloaded and installed it per instructions but can’t seem to get the plugin to show up on the dropdown menu. It shows up in my toolbox as “installed” and it’s in the correct plugins folder, but it just won’t show up on the dropdown.
I’m wondering if there’s something in preferences I need to toggle? I’m running r19 on 11.13.5
Tried to install using toolbox and manual installation. Using the toolbox it showed it was installed. Nothing appears in the menu plugins menu. All other plugins did appear. I deleted all plugins and the tool box then manually installed the CV-AR and still nothing shows up. Please advise, thanks.
Would you mind sharing the C4D version you run it should be R19.053. My last application update was on 2/14/2018, SERVICE UPDATE 19.053 FOR CINEMA 4D AND BODYPAINT 3D R19, in the help about it says BodyPaint 3D (19.053)(Build RB224935)
There are two plug in folders for C4D, in which one did you have placed the plug in? I went into the application and selected File Preferences then clicked on the Open Preferences Folder and copied into that folder.
Have you restarted the app after installing it? Perhaps a screen shot from the plug in folder… Yes
I hope the shared data will help the developers of the plug in to give you more input. Thanks, me too
Edit: Post #14 tellsStudioonly. So, I downgraded my version, and went step by step up again. No luck with anything but Studio. What baffles me is, that this is no-where mentioned so far. I checked the tutorials, the CV-Toolbox text, and wherever I saw anything about CV-AR. Nothing. Not even in the txt file inside the plug in. Sorry about that. This is not how the tools should be supplied. Again sorry, I had really no idea. /edit
That sounds all good, which means that needs to be explored directly by the plug in developers.
I’m really sorry that you have this trouble, as I know how it feels to do everything needed, and then no “show”.
Fingers crossed, this will be running in no time for you.
As you can see in this thread, occasionally there are problems: if your investment to Cineversity would be only based to run this plug-in, I really don’t know what to suggest. The main idea is that these plug ins are an added value, not the other way around.
I hope the developers can give soon some additional information about the cases above to give you a good feeling to sign up.

Hi Tim,
CV-AR is restricted to Studio Versions only. It looks like you have BodyPaint 3D edition so unfortunately you will not be able to use this version of CV-AR.
I am writing this as a translator for Google, so please understand if the context is strange.
I installed CV-AR and loaded the data captured from Iphone-x. Then something is loaded as shown in Figure 1, but the object and facial animation data are not loaded. How can we solve this?
The cinema4d version is R19.053.
Hi picsel100,
Did you double click on a capture in the CV AR Dialog to add that object to your scene? Or did you add it manually?
Hey, I’ve just started to use this, is the QR code process the only way to connect to get the data from the app? Is there any other means of getting this data either by plugging the phone in to your computer. I’m trying to use it at a work computer and it is difficult to get my computer and phone to share the same network. Thanks.

Hi Kent,
That’s really disappointing. Is this a technical limitation or simply a version check?
