Hey guys,

Thanks for having a look.  I’m trying to play around with the CA Builder biped Rigged Skeleton in C4D, and having weird issues.  I thought the easiest way to explain would be to attach a short video.  If you could have a look I’d sure appreciate it.

Here’s a link to the video (17mb) http://accessdv.com/movies/SkeletonQuestion.mov

Thanks,
Biagio

Those sir, are points on the mesh that are not given a total weight value of 100%
have you gone over Bret’s series on weighting?
http://www.cineversity.com/vidplaytut/weight_painting_part_1

In short you need to double click on the weight tag applied to the object / objects with stretching points, then go to the weight list and find the points that don’t add up to 100%

Then find the joint that you want that point to be associated with and paint over the offending weight.
This can be done at any point really…so you can ever play the animation to where you get the stretched geo, and fix it there.
If it works your points snap back into place.

Perfect, Patrick, thanks so much.  I’m going over the weighting tuts now and what you said makes sense.  I wasn’t sure how to diagnose—thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Best,
Biagio
