Hi,

We are trying to work through this tutorial using R12.  I can’t seem to figure out how to open up the visual selector that has the smaller version of the figure.

I did read that MOCCA is different in R12, but I can’t seem to find out how to open that window.

Thanks

Hi Steve,

Seems like the lack of a background image for the VS caused it to break.

The attached file should work. (R14) <- If you need this for other versions please let me know.

Once I get several versions set up I will change the Download file on the tutorial page.
So for now, check and distribute the attached zip.

Thanks for letting me know of the issue.

Hi,

Thanks so much!  We are using R12. I hope it’s not too much trouble.

Ok, here is another one.
R12 and R14 included…should probably check R13 too :D

Anyway, double click on the Visual selector tag to open up the VS window.

Hope that works.

This is the error message that I get when I try to open the R12 file. (screenshot attached)

I unzipped the file to the desktop and left the file structure (the tex folder) exactly as zipped.  Should I have it somewhere other than the desktop?

Thanks

Sorry for the slow response, the issue here is that the features you want are not available in the Broadcast edition of the software.
These are features available in the Studio version of the software.

Gotcha,  That’s what I thought the issue might be.

Thanks so much.  We’ll try to work around it.

OK, over the break we upgraded to R14.  We can now pull the visual selector up, but it does not look like the window in the tutorial video and clicking in the window seems to paint hotspots.

Thanks!

Hi Steve,
Are you using the file that I posted here, or trying to open the older files?
The older files will not work, as the image was embedded in the file.
This changed with newer versions of CINEMA, so the BG image is now an external file.
You will need to use the file that I posted here.
The one issue with the file here is that I saved the file in “edit” mode, rather than “animate”

So unzip the file, then dbl click the visual selector tag, in the manager that pops up you will want to click on the “setup” tab. Then click “animate”
