I’ve been using Team Render Client and the queue to process my rendering jobs. However, my local rendering is 2 or 3 times faster than my dedicated farm computer. I’m using two high-end BOXX computers with 2 RTX A5000 graphics cards on my desktop and 4 cards on my farm computer. Standard network setup with M2 SSD’s and 64GB RAM on each. Even with 512 bucket sizes in redshift, it’s still significantly slower.
Would using an additional computer and setting it up as a Team Render Server and pushing my jobs onto there reduce the network bottleneck? I’m usually using C4D and the render queue at the same time so I can keep working.
The documentation for Team Render and Team Render Server is so out-dated and hard to follow, so I appreciate any feedback.
