Hello

Again here with a basic question….

I need to create a 2D pattern using my own geometry.
Like the example attached https://www.dropbox.com/s/0rtusnv7u6s115f/Test 1.jpg?dl=0
, but randomised so it looks like this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/x97jkay1tv2nn9s/pushapart_artwork_ui-1-1.jpg?dl=0

C4D file with a basic TP setup: https://www.dropbox.com/s/2u63qye3onm9gpo/Pattern Test.c4d?dl=0

Could of course be mograph

Thank you!

Hi Rolf,

Please use the new forum for future questions; thank you!
https://cineversity.forums.maxon.net/

I’m brainstorming here, as I’m not aware of any native option in Cinema 4D other than the Blue Noise Node (which is poorly documented).
Example:

Some thoughts:

• Have you explored the Circle Packer from X-Particles? Which might be an evaluation of size in color to work then with the MG-Multi-shader

• I don’t see it working with TP.

• Perhaps a Dynamic option to fill a container with objects, perhaps cylinders, and use the caps for the images?

All the best
