I have tried to do this with 2 different animations, one a rig and one a bend, but both I cannot get the animations to bake into. I am doing this to try to get the animations to play in Unity but I have had not luck. I would really appreciate any help possible with this. The animations will not bake even if I manually bake them inside of C4d either.
I added my c4d file for help with this.

Hi hmclaug7,

I have sent you an upload link (Private Messages). Edit: Now I can see that you have a file attached/edit

Without a file, I can’t tell you what is going on.

All the best

I uploaded a zip and put the .c4d in your dropbox. Thank you!

Thanks for the file, hmclaug7!

When I asked for the upload I haven’t seen the attachment.

What I typically do:

I make the Character editable by selecting the Character object and pressing the c key.

Then I go to the Layer Browser and switch everything to visible (editor and object manager)

I suggest having things that get processed first (joints) above the Mesh/Skin Parts. (Priorities.)

From there, I export it.

I have sent you the file back, one time the c4d and one fbx. I hope that helps. I typically avoid empty spaces or periods [dots] in the file name (a dot before the format (e.g., FBX is, of course, standard, the suffix.). Some might say that can work even with spaces, but anything that moves through a longer pipeline might cause trouble otherwise.

For game engines, it might be good to check how much of the fbx content can be deleted before exporting it again to keep it compact!

All the best
