Cineversity

I’ve noticed that a scene file with cached rigid body dynamics (the cache is on the tag rather than caching the whole scene under the document settings), when brought in as an xref object, doesn’t retain the cache.  The rigid bodies go back to their uncached state.

Is this a limitation of xrefs or is there a workaround.

It’s crappy when internal caches fail.
Luckily there are 3rd party solutions that might be able to help.
I have mentioned Steadybake before, this might be another suitable time to be using it, not to sure how it play’s with xrefs though.

Ah hadn’t tried steady bake, will give that a go, thanks!
