Bake sound effector animation to keyframes?

Hi There,

I’d like to bake a mograph animation to keyframes.
Its a mograph cloner affected by the sound effector.

Reason is so I can use the Track Modifier tag
(to smooth out the animation, or posterize it potentially depending on desired final look)

Tried and failed:
- mograph cache tag
- add to timeline > function > bake objects
- bake as alembic

None of these methods yielded keyframes, I’m likely doing something wrong and having a hard time narrowing down the culprit.

Example file attached (sound file is freebie)

Any ideas anyone?
Thanks so much in advance!
J

Hi J.,

In the series Animation clips for teams
https://www.cineversity.com/vidplaylist/animation_techniques_for_teams/
I have discussed any (?) possible options to get this done.

To answer your question, thanks to the file (!), I can share a solution with your content.

As a side note, I use the Delay Effector for that, as it has a lot of power to smooth things out. (Needs to sit below [after] the Sound Effector). Or just use the decay parameter.

All the best

Very clever solution, I like, thanks Dr!

Didn’t think of the delay effector, for smoothing that’ll do just fine.

Many thanks as always!
