Hello Ciniversity friends!

Ever since the latest version of cinema 4D I have been running out of ram after about 15 minutes of program use.

I remember in Mac OS 9 it was possible to assign a certain amount of RAM to each program but I don’t know if that valuable in Mac OS X.

Anyone out there experiences issue and have a remedy?

Are you using an M1 chip?

I had the same problem with Monterey until I updated to 12.1 (Even with 64GB Ram, it told me that I’m running out of memory). This is not meant as do-this-suggestion, I don’t do tech-support here.

The only thing that comes to mind is in the Preferences, and there is the cache path. If Cinema 4D is not checked in the Privacy and security lists with all options, perhaps it can’t write anything into a cache. This is a wild guess; perhaps the support has a better answer. I’m not supposed to do tech support here.
