I am having the same problem. I am at work. I do not know what firewall we have. I do know that certain questionable sites are blocked. This is not the case. The video player shows an streaming animation but then I get an error.

I just wanted to leave a note saying that I can now view the videos. Apparently, I joined just as they were experiencing their outage over the weekend. I’ve been watching tutorials all day and love it! Thanks!

Thanks for the update dboanimation -
For the others who posted in the last three days, we were experiencing an outage. Please post again if you are still unable to view the vids.

Hi Rick,
An update: I use my account from my studio where I have internet through ADSL; I just took my laptop home and everything worked well (At home I have internet through cable)
So I have access now if i’m at home, but of course I need Cineversity at my studio.
sincerely: Zoltan

Hi Rick,
Al most still I have same problem.
1) After selecting tutorial, most of time just circle rotates on black screen and nothing happens.
2) If luckily it runs….after few sec. or minutes it stops.
Since morning I am trying to watch ” Modeling with Deformers & Effectors” and now afternoon time, trying again and again and till now I watched only 28:00 min. Just on stop screen circle rotating….!!!
I am using Mac OS X 10.7.3, Safari & Firefox 11.0

Port test is OK for us, we just find that some videos don’t start playing and others have playback issues after 30 seconds to a minute where the video will just stop. Restarting the video from the beginning does not help as it appears that there is no buffering. We are using Safari 5.1.4 under Mac OS X 10.6.8. Starting to get frustrated.

Bought a premium subscription today, but I’m only now discovering this video playback issue. Like others, the tutorials will either fail to load (a spinning circle over a black screen), or begin, play for a while, then just stop at an arbitrary point, no matter which browser I switch to (and it’s the same arbitrary point, from browser to browser). I’m on a 12-core MacPro, Mac OSX Lion 10.7.3, and tried the latest versions of Safari, Chrome and Firefox. Flash is up to date too.
Please, any word on what’s going on? Any leads or predictions on when this issue will be solved? Unless it’s only happening to a very small portion of this site’s userbase, this is a very detrimental issue, how has this not been addressed/resolved in four months?
bummed,

While watching video of Barton Damer, video works fine for awhile then stops, and scroll is at the end. After refreshing, I scroll to where it stopped and get blank screen in sections while audio is still playing. After getting to where it stopped the first time, it plays for awhile and then stops again and the scroll is at the end. Really want to watch this video but is too frustrating to try to go back and forth. Here’s my test results.
