This demo shows a technique for transitioning between two models using a field in Blender - which the title calls the “Loki Effect.”

Unfortunately for me, the explanation is in German :(

In my experience, C4D is equal to (if not far superior) to Blender, so I suspect there’s a similar functionality in C4D. And probably 35 tutorials to back it up. Can you identify the tool involved?

Thanks.

Hi mford610,

This sounded more like a direct question rather than a tutorial suggestion.

The language is not German; the link showed a Portuguese version.

Here is the simplest way I can think of.

Here is a quick preview (4sec)

This is a quick demo. Pre-viz. But I hope it shows the idea.

In a nutshell, it is all about a sphere (Field) used in several Weight Tags. The evaluation of this sphere leads then to an alpha channel and information used in displacement and luminance. You need to render it to see the effect.

All the best
