Symmetry issue

I am trying to make a symmetry of this obj from center to the rightso it would be one piece ( welded)  and has the symmetry , but for some reason the symmetry one goes all the way to the left side of the window and it is not separate obj neither for me to weld.  where am I doing wrong? Thanks!

Hi pinareris,

You need to set the Workplane so that the Symmetry object knows where the Axis is.

Thanks for the reply! I actually tried to change the axis but I guess I wasn’t successful and couldnt find any tutorial on that, but will check the documentation that you shared, thanks alot!! is there any tutorial on this? may be i missed it?

Hi pinareris,

The simplest way for me is to share a one-minute clip that I have done for you. I hope it makes sense.

Besides that, you could use a similar workflow to set the object axis to the Symmetry plane, then use the Reset PSR function and go from there (but you would lose the position your object had before.
