Morning everyone,

Just recently i’ve noticed a bug in S24 when it comes to opening, merging and saving of files.

When i try to open a project file (for example one of Insydiums project files) it won’t open in S24, it just does nothing at all and after that it does not give the option to open, merge or save anything. I have to close down S24 and reopen in order to be able to save anything. Is anyone else experiencing this problem and if so did you manage to fix it at all please?

Many Thanks,

Hi chris_rossi83,

Sorry that you have to endure this. It sounds to me like a privilege/writing rights problem. (But guessing is typically not the best way to solve a problem.)

I have not experienced that. Please check with the support.

I hope that is fixed in no time.

Evening Dr Sassi,

Hope your doing well this evening, thanks for the reply. I’ll checkout the support and see what i find and i did noticed earlier that there was an update for s24 so will try updating as well thanks. Most of the Insydium files say they they are compatible with version r16-23, do you think they that might be an issue or should s24 be able to open them just fine? I managed to open a couple no problem but most don’t open at all tbh

I hope i can fix it as it would be good to finally be able to open their projects to understand x-particles in more depth.

Thanks for the reply and will keep you posted.

Enjoy your evening.

Hi Chris,

Well, I’m just back from lunch (Pacific time here), so I look forward to my evening. I hope you enjoy yours already.

I’m not supposed to do tech support here, which I agree to 100%. My philosophy is to not guess (which I do occasionally, but I think guessing is not how it should work.) Based on that, I do not have a library of computers here that would allow me to simulate most of the setups.

I believe in having a personal creative library and that this one needs to be filled constantly. This filling takes most of my time. It includes learning, teaching, exploring, and producing stuff, of course. My favorite thing is to know everything alone in most production pipelines, e.g., feature film or visualization in general. I have a vast background, and I love to share. So, here is a great place to be for me. (https://www.drsassi.com/vita-exhibitions-awards)
All of that keeps me already very busy, so I’m happy to leave all the tech inquiries to its specialists. Besides, that is our protocol anyway.

The website said S24 is fine!

Which project file do you have in mind (URL?) So I can check that for you!

All the best
