I’m working on a complex, multilayered logo and want to include video and photos around the sides of text so when you’re extremely close you see video relating to the logo, buzzwords might fly past and all mapped to the extruded portion of the letters.

I (like many) struggle with UV mapping and as easy as the revamped UV mapping capability of version R22+ “seems” I’m having zero luck and can’t find a single tutorial on how you might do this.

Image of my logo and a sample of what I’m after.

Thanks!

Hi R.Cates,

No image, no sample.

Tutorial Suggestions are not instantly. So, if you are working on the project right now, then it would be more of a Q&A question.

I will send you an upload link. Please check the Cineversity Private Messages.

Cheers

Thank you for the response Dr. Sassi. I’ve watched that tutorial almost to the end and although there’s a lot there, I’m left with a lot of specific questions not answered in what I’ve seen. I’ll keep watching though.

Hi noell,

I assume you both work on the same project.
Would you mind asking what you would like to know in the Q&A forum, perhaps with a dummy scene, if the original file can’t be shared?
It would be nice if you could do a sketch where the image/graphic/video has to be (like drawing rectangular on a screenshot)

I hope I can demo it in a 60-second clip.

If, for some reason, the concept of UV is not clear, please go to post #9

Do this for a few minutes. So far, it always has clicked with this drill during my hand on classes. Yes, the core is that simple. Do not listen to people who tell otherwise. wink

All the best
